Lobster meat is a good source of protein, vitamins, and minerals, including vitamin B12, omega-3 fatty acids, and potassium. However, it is also relatively high in cholesterol and sodium, so it should be consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
Classic New England-style Lobster Roll
- 1 1/2 lb cooked lobster meat, chopped
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 hot dog buns
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Brush the inside of each hot dog bun with melted butter and place them in the skillet. Toast until lightly browned on both sides.
- Divide the lobster mixture evenly among the toasted buns. Serve immediately.
Optional: You can also add some diced celery, scallions, or diced cucumber to the lobster mixture for added crunch and flavor.
